01.12.2020

Przemysław Czarnek, the minister of education and science, has signed a contract for co-financing the construction of the Collegium Medicum building of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw. The university will receive a targeted subsidy of over PLN 22 million for this aim.

-Today, the greatest need of Polish society is educating medical staff. I am very grateful to the UKSW authorities for the fact that they decided to enhance the medical education, – emphasized Minister Czarnek.

-From 2015 to 2019, we increased the number of places in the first year of medical studies by slightly more than 2,000, but we need twice as many places. That is why the activity of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in this respect is particularly important to us – added the minister.

The Medical Faculty of Collegium Medicum UKSW was established in 2018. It educates students in the field of medicine (MA studies) and nursing (BA studies). It also conducts three-year undergraduate studies in English.
