27.08.2021

Nearly forty people from different countries of the world – Spain, China, Great Britain, Iceland, Ukraine, Russia, USA, Finland and other countries are participating in the project “Academy of Polish diaspora journalists”, implemented by the Society of Friends of the Catholic University of Lublin, under the patronage of the Academy of Modern Media and Communication and the Institute of Journalism and Management of the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL).

At the beginning of the project the rector of the Catholic University of Lublin, Fr. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski said that the Academy of Modern Media and Communication of the Catholic University of Lublin will serve many communities that conduct media activity also among the Polish diaspora. In this way, history, culture and the Polish language will still be alive.

The project is developed and consulted by an appointed team of experts (media experts, sociologists, also representatives of media professionals- journalists-practitioners and representatives of the Polish community abroad), whose task is to develop comprehensive solutions to directly support the Polish community media, and thus to provide real support to the Polish community and Poles abroad. It is financed by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister as part of the Polonia and Poles Abroad 2021 competition.
