The Centre for Medieval Studies was inaugurated at the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), with one of its main aims being to carry out extensive editorial and inventory research into the history of medieval Poland.

The Centre for Medieval Studies, headed by Dr Paweł Kras, Professor at the Catholic University of Lublin, has the task of undertaking and carrying out wide-ranging editorial and inventory research into the history of medieval Poland, making use of modern digital research methods (digital humanities) in Polish medieval studies, and internationalising Polish medieval studies.

As a result of this work, both Polish and foreign researchers and students will be provided with modern research tools for the study of medieval Polish history, reports the Centre, noting that a nationwide team of several dozen researchers specialising in source science and the editing of historical sources has been formed to carry out these tasks.
