The Catholic University of Lublin is organizing the nationwide cognitive science conference “Time for Mind 3.0” on March 18-19, 2021. The subject of the event will represent the scientific interests of late Prof. Piotr Francuz – an outstanding experimental psychologist, scientist and lecturer, co-founder of the cognitive science course.
Within the conference program, Agnieszka Fudali-Czyż will consider whether our aesthetic assessments are completely subjective, and Paweł Fortuna and Artur Modliński will compare paintings made by humans, cyborgs and robots. Also, Jerzy Luty will talk about the “instinct of art” and the adaptive role of art in the process of evolution, and Prof. Włodzisław Duch will present the subject of neuroeducation, in the context of contemporary brain research.
The organizers are planning workshops, during which Robert Fryczkowski will characterize the opportunities and threats of modern electronic communication, and Barbara Wardowska and Stanisław Sądowski will discuss the effects and neurological consequences of COVID-19 disease using the example of specific patients. Prof. Lech Giemza will compare the figures of dictators as part of the Book from a Backpack project, on the basis of poems by Wisława Szymborska and Charles Simic.
