Catholic University of Lublin to hold Christian Culture Congress

The Congress of Christian Culture will be held for the sixth time at the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL). The Congress is a meeting of intellectuals and people of culture that has been held regularly since 2000. It will be held from 15 to 18 October under the title “Spaces for Dialogue. Christian inspirations of the culture of meeting”.

The enhanced program of the Congress include lectures, debates and cultural events. The inaugural lecture “Christian inspirations for the culture of dialogue and meeting” will be delivered by the President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Card. Kurt Koch on Thursday, October 15. The next day he will receive an honorary doctorate from the Catholic University of Lublin and celebrate the Eucharist in the Academic Church. Together with representatives of the Orthodox Church and Protestantism, he will take part in the “Churches in dialogue” panel.

The Congress program also includes panels: “Dialogue as a rule in the life and teaching of John Paul II and Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński”, “The world after the coronavirus pandemic” and a discussion on the common heritage of the East and the West with the participation of Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz.
