The Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) has been offering foreigners the opportunity to learn Polish for many years. This year’s summer classes within the framework of the Summer School of Polish Language and Culture will be held for the 50th time.
“The classes not only include the secrets of our language, we also try to familiarise the students with Polish history and culture”, says Cezary Ruta, director of the School of Polish Language and Culture at KUL.
The summer language programmes have different levels of intensity – classes last from 5 to 8 hours a day. In addition to classes, the programme includes sightseeing in Lublin and trips to Warsaw, Sandomierz or Zamość.
This year, the School of Polish Language and Culture of the Catholic University of Lublin will also organise a course for foreign university students, in particular students of Polish philology, Slavonic studies or majors whose study programme includes issues related to Central and Eastern Europe.
