The Centre for Advanced Materials and Engineering of Manufacturing Processes was officially opened at the West Pomeranian University of Technology (ZUT) in Szczecin. This is the largest project in the history of the university.
The new unit was established on the basis of the university’s Faculty of Technology and Chemical Engineering. The centre will offer open access to microscopic, spectroscopic and analytical techniques for scientific research and R&D; it will undertake initiatives to conduct scientific research and development and innovation activities through the development of advanced materials and the development of modern technologies.
The centre is to be a public R&D infrastructure included in the Polish Research Infrastructure Map. The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin is the only institution in north-western Poland to have won this award. The total value of the project is more than PLN 61 million.
