The Centre for Social Competence was officially opened at the Academy of Applied Sciences (ANS) in Elbląg. The investment of more than PLN 24 million will benefit students and young people from schools cooperating with the academy.
The newly-built facility includes a drone laboratory – a laboratory for building, programming and testing drones, a 3D modelling laboratory – a 3D scanning and modelling laboratory and a computer modelling laboratory, a laboratory for manufacturing prototype drone parts, a laboratory for programming mobile devices, a laboratory for experiments with materials, a laboratory for robotics and mechatronics and a laboratory for the Internet of Things.
“The Centre for Social Competence has also been created with regional cooperation in mind. This base will also be used by young people from around 20 secondary schools with which we work closely”, says the rector, Dr Eng Jarosław Niedojadło, professor at ANS in Elbląg.
