The ceramic work “INNER SPACE.03” by Joanna Teper from the Department of Ceramics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław won the first prize in the category “Design and new forms in ceramics” at the 92nd prestigious La Rambla International Ceramics Competition in Spain.

The jury appreciated the unconventional approach to the ceramic surface and the use of original activities on the border of painting and graphics. The exhibition presenting the competition selection in three categories: “Traditional Bisque Pottery”, “Traditional Ceramics” and “Design and New Forms in Ceramics” will be held in August at the Ceramics Museum of the city of La Rambla.

The museum presents modern and traditional faces of ceramics throughout history and today. The exhibits make up two large collections of ceramics: typical for the region of Cordoba and foreign, enlarged for 92 years by the works of the winners.

The items in the museum’s collection are part of the oldest pottery and ceramics exhibition in Spain, held since 1926.
