Charger of electric cars on the campus of the Bydgoszcz University of Technology and Life Sciences

25.05.2018

Rector of the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, Prof. Eng. Tomasz Topoliński and co-owner of the RAWICOM company – Adam Hłond signed an agreement on the launch of the so-called fast charger for electric cars in the university campus.

The university charging point will be adapted to perform operational and energy tests. The University of Technology and Life Sciences and RAWICOM have been conducting research for many years. At present, the university is designing a new fast charger, which will enable charging of cars using various charging systems and standards.

According to the report of the Polish Automotive Industry Association in Poland, there are currently only 2 thousand electric cars. One of the reasons for this is the lack of infrastructure allowing charging electric vehicles in Poland.
