The International Polish Studies and the School of Polish Language and Culture at the University of Silesia in Katowice organize the international scientific conference on the 23 and 24 May as part of “Polish Literature in the World”. The theme of this year’s edition is “Reportage in the World – Reporting the World”.

The subject of discussion will be a reportage as an intercultural interference evolving under the influence of civilization phenomena.
The participants of the conference will deal with the problems of the foreign reception of Polish reportages including the discrepancies in its understanding in Poland and in the world. They will also consider its relation to global technological, geopolitical and socio-cultural processes – digital revolution, tabloidisation of the media, globalization and multiculturalism.
