The European Commission granted the UNIgreen consortium, which includes the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw, the status of a European University.
UNIgreen (The Green European University) is a consortium of 8 partner institutions specializing in agricultural sciences, life sciences and biotechnology. It includes: WULS-SGGW, University of Almería – Spain (coordinating institution); Agricultural University of Plovdiv – Bulgaria; Agricultural University of Iceland – Iceland; Haute Ecole de la Province de Liège – Belgium; Instituto Politécnico de Coimbra – Portugal; Paris Sup’Biotech – France; Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia – Italy.
UNIGreen aims to strengthen the links between education, research, innovation, good practice and knowledge transfer, so that the resulting alliance becomes a model European university for higher education and research in the areas of Agro, Bio and Life Science.
