Uniwersytet Morski w Gdyni

Construction of the Offshore Centre, an investment by the Maritime University in Gdynia being carried out in close proximity to the Wisłoujście Fortress in Gdańsk, is scheduled for completion in June. The building is growing rapidly, with the advancement of works estimated at 68.92 % at the end of February 2023.

At present, finishing work is being carried out inside the buildings – tiling, painting and carpeting as well as door joinery and suspended ceilings are being installed. Work is also being carried out on the building’s facade, electrical and sanitary installation work, the supply and installation of cold stores, and work on the building’s smoke removal and fire protection system.

The Offshore Centre will be the new headquarters of the UMG Maritime Institute. Among other things, comprehensive offshore activities and measurements will be carried out here in order to obtain new information on the state of the marine environment and its resources. This information is essential for activities in the fuel, shipbuilding, offshore wind energy or maritime transport markets.
