On September 24-26 at the Institute of Chemistry of the Faculty of Biology and Chemistry of the University of Bialystok, for the first time the Conversatorium of Atomic Spectrometry (KOSAT) will be held.
According to Katarzyna Dziedzik, spokesperson at the University of Bialystok, it will be the 15th nationwide meeting of analytical chemists involved in spectral analysis. About 120 scientists will participate in the seminar, including guests from Monaco and France. Participants of the three-day meeting will have the opportunity to listen to over 30 lectures and present the results of their research.
The most important event of the scientific meeting will be a special session during which Dr Emilia Vassilieva (International Atomic Energy Agency, Environment Laboratories in Monaco) and Prof. Henryk Matusiewicz (Faculty of Chemical Technology, Poznan University of Technology) will be honored with the special award of Dr Jerzy Fijałkowski for their contribution to the development of spectral analysis methods.
