The AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow and the Warsaw University of Technology Plock Branch have concluded a cooperation agreement on efficient and low-carbon energy and process technologies in refining and petrochemistry.

In particular, the cooperation will involve joint research into innovative solutions related to synthetic fuel production, decarbonisation and closed-loop economies.

The research conducted by the scientific teams will mainly focus on modern technologies that enable the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by capturing it from industrial streams and using it as a raw material for the production of aviation fuels and chemical products.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Renata Walczak – Vice-Chancellor of the Warsaw University of Technology for the Plock Branch, and Prof. Rafał Wiśniowski – Vice-Chancellor for Cooperation at AGH.
