French nuclear power company Framatome has announced the signing of an agreement with the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) in Poland to explore and develop opportunities for cooperation in education and nuclear research.
‘Framatome is pleased to sign this agreement with NCBJ to help support Poland’s nuclear power programme’, said Elisabeth Terrail, Framatome’s vice president of human resources. ‘Our collaboration will strengthen the programme by attracting and training students for long-term careers in nuclear energy’, she added.
Framatome and NCBJ will collaborate on topics of mutual interest, including structural mechanics, thermohydraulics, EPR technology and safety analysis of nuclear components and systems. Lectures and other educational opportunities, joint research initiatives and internships at Framatome will contribute to the development and success of the Polish nuclear industry.
