The Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin will collaborate with the local Provincial Ambulance Station. The signed agreement relates to the practical training of students of the Medical Rescue with Maritime and Offshore Safety course, which will be implemented from the academic year 2023/24.

This new and unique in the country faculty combines medical rescue with marine rescue. It will be realised in a three-year full-time 1st degree course. Candidates will additionally undergo a fitness and swimming test as part of the recruitment process. This year, 36 of the best candidates will be accepted.

Graduates of this course will be prepared to work in the Emergency Service, Hospital Emergency Departments, as well as first aid instructors and employees in the health sector in specialised units, e.g. on ships, oil rigs or offshore and onshore wind farms.
