Silesian University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with Johnson Matthey Battery Systems – one of the largest suppliers of lithium-ion batteries in Europe. The agreement was signed by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk and HR manager Johnson Matthey Battery Systems Vladyslav Kryvenko.
Students of the technical university will be able to take apprenticeships and internships at the company’s headquarters and write diploma theses on topics related to the actual technological problems and the company’s needs. The deal is also beneficial for graduates who will be able to work for Johnson Matthey Battery Systems.
The university and the company will also jointly determine the topics of research and development, improve educational programs and exchange experience in the field of knowledge management, with particular emphasis on the development of competences. A team of specialists for strategic technical and organizational solutions will also be established.
