Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Andrzej Szeptycki visited Australia and New Zealand. Among other things, he participated in the Asia Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) trade fair held in Perth, Australia, at the beginning of March.
APAIE is the most important meeting in the Asia-Pacific region dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education. This year’s event was attended by Deputy Minister Andrzej Szeptycki. There was also a delegation from the National Agency for Academic Exchange present. The Polish stand prepared by the institution attracted great interest and was a venue for meetings between representatives of Polish higher education institutions and representatives of universities from all over the world.
During the visit to Melbourne, discussions were held on Polish-Australian academic cooperation and current challenges in promoting the Polish language in Australia.
Deputy Minister Andrzej Szeptycki also delivered two lectures: “Poland in relation to the war in Ukraine” at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and in New Zealand at Victoria University of Wellington.
