The delegation of the University of Silesia (UŚ) visited the Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). During the visit, agreement for student exchange was signed, and further development of cooperation between universities was discussed.

The cooperation agreement was signed in Beijing by the vice-rector for international and national cooperation, Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski. It regulates issues of students’ stay as part of part-time studies and trips to Polish and Chinese summer schools. During the visit, the promotion and development of Polish-Chinese higher education and the organization of the academic forum in 2019 were also discussed.

BJUT and UŚ are associated in the Polish-Chinese academic consortium, and the cooperation between them is dynamically developing. The Chinese Language and Culture Center has been operating at the University since January, and several dozen Chinese students took part in this year’s summer school of language, literature and Polish culture organized in Cieszyn.
