– We must look for solutions that will give a new impulse to Polish humanities said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin commenting the assumptions of the “Pact for Polish Humanities”.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Gowin, such an impulse means increase of the fundst for the humanities studies.He emphasized that a National Science Center (NCN) finances research at a high level.

-When I proposed the NCN Council 2 years ago to increase funds for grants in the field of humanities, I heard that this is not a good idea, because too few high-class projects are supplied to distribute larger amounts. Therefore, it is necessary to think about what makes it difficult for Polish humanists to conduct research at such a level to let National Science Center increase the number of humanistic grants – added Gowin.
