Scientist of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk nominated for the “Historical Book of the Year” Award

Prof. Robert Kuśnierz from the Institute of History and Political Sciences of the Pomeranian Academy in Słupsk, “There is no defence for us, Poles. The repression of Poles in the Soviet Union in 1935-1938 in the materials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and military intelligence of the Second Republic of 2018” was nominated in the prestigious competition “Historic Book of the Year”.

The competition is organized by Polish Television, Polish Radio, the Institute of National Remembrance and the National Center for Culture. Book of Prof. Kuśnierz was nominated in the category “The best source publication dedicated to the history of Poland and Poles in the 20th century”. The winners will be announced during a gala in November in Warsaw.

Professor Kuśnierz is the author of the monograph “In the world of Stalinist crimes”, for which he was nominated for the Jerzy Giedroyc Scientific Award. He is also a laureate of the competition of the Minister of Science and Higher Education in the National Program for the Development of Humanities.
