On January 1, 2020, the Polish Accreditation Commission (PKA), an institution working to ensure and improve the quality of education, will begin its next four-year term. Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education appointed the PKA members.
The main objectives of the Commission’s activities are to ensure compliance with the quality standards adopted for higher education, referring to the best models in force in European and global educational space and to support public and private universities in the process of improving the quality of education and building a culture of quality.
-The decisions taken by the PKA significantly affecting the functioning of universities in Poland, to a large extent also shape the functioning of the entire higher education system. I would like new PKA members to remember this all the time while they were in office – emphasized Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin.
