Development of Portuguese Studies at the University of Warsaw

Thanks to the cooperation implemented by the University of Warsaw (UW), the Camões Institute and Bank Millennium, students of Iberian studies have the chance to receive scholarships enabling them to go to Portuguese universities. A tripartite agreement for further cooperation between these institutions was signed at the UW.

The aim of the tripartite agreement is to develop and enhance the teaching of Portuguese language and culture in Poland. Thanks to the cooperation of the signatories, the best students of the Iberian Studies: Portuguese Studies programme (realised at the Faculty of Neophilology of the UW) will have the opportunity to receive a scholarship, which will enable them to go to Portuguese universities.

The tripartite agreement was signed by Professor Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the UW, Luís Manuel Ribeiro Cabaço, Ambassador of Portugal to Poland, and Joao Nuno Lima Bras Jorge, Chairman of the Board of Bank Millenium.
