Dr Bożena Jaskowska, director of the University of Rzeszów Library, was qualified for the IRONMAN world championship, which will take place in October in the cradle of this sport in Hawaii – informs Dr. Maciej Ulita, a spokesman at the University of Rzeszów.

– I did not think I would tell you about it this year, but I did it! It made the impossible become possible – says Dr. Jaskowska. At the IRONMAN KALMAR competition in Sweden, she was qualified for the IRONMAN World Championships in Kona. The crossing of 3,800 meters, followed by 182 km by bike and running 42.2 km took her 10 hours and 39 minutes.

With this result, I took the fourth place in my age category. Already on October 13, 2018, on my 40th birthday, I will proudly represent our country during the 40th world championship on the Hawaiian island of Kona – adds Dr. Jaskowska.
