Master’s theses by female graduates of the Wrocław University of Technology have won distinctions in a competition held by the Association of Polish Mechanical Engineers and Technicians (SIMP). The competition aims to encourage young engineers to undertake ambitious theses and get them interested in topics that are useful to the country’s economy.
Aneta Nycz, a graduate of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering and currently a PhD student at the Doctoral School, dealt in her thesis with a topic related to one type of water turbine, i.e. machines used to extract mechanical energy from water energy.
Karolina Zofia Dąbrowska is a graduate of mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, currently a student of chemistry and materials engineering. The jury appreciated her work, in which she addressed issues related to artificial heart valves.
