Dr Wojciech Sowa, coordinator of disciplines in the humanities, social and art department of the National Science Center, became the chairman of the Scientific Council of the international HERA program (Humanities in the European Research Area).

The President of the Council is responsible for the coordination of ERA-Net HERA’s strategic activities, representation of the network’s position on issues of contemporary humanities and conducting a dialogue with the scientific community.

HERA is a network supporting research in the humanities. The consortium is to initiate the cooperation of scientists from various European research centers and to draw attention to the social, cultural and political challenges of contemporary Europe.
