Dr Julia Borcherding receives the Honorary Scholarship of Leszek Kołakowski

Dr Julia Borcherding, University of Cambridge has won the third competition for the Honorary Scholarship of Leszek Kołakowski awarded by the Foundation for Polish Science.

The purpose of the scholarship is to award scholars who can boast of outstanding achievements in the history of medieval and modern ideas and philosophy up to 1939 at the beginning of their scientific careers.

The Honorary Scholarship of Leszek Kołakowski has been awarded since 2016 every two-years. The first laureate in 2016 was Dr Dmitri Levitin, University of Oxford, in the next competition (2018) Dr Caterina Tarlazzi, University of Geneva was awarded.

Dr Julia Borcherding specializes in modern philosophy, especially in ethics, epistemology and metaphysics and their interrelationships.
