Dr Paweł Grzesiowski wins the 18th competition Populariser of Science

Dr Paweł Grzesiowski, paediatrician, president of the Foundation Institute for Infection Prevention, expert of the Supreme Medical Council on epidemic threats, received the Main Prize in the 18th  Populariser of Science competition.

The Science Populariser competition has been organised since 2005 by the Science in Poland service of the Polish Press Agency (PAP) Foundation. 

It is the oldest and most prestigious competition in the country, in which scholars, media people, institutions and members of the public who are passionate about sharing knowledge and revealing the secrets of modern science to people not associated with the academic community are awarded. 

In the ‘Scientist’ category, the winner was Dr Wiktor Kotowski from the University of Warsaw. In the ‘Animator’ category, Stanisław Łoboziak from the Copernicus Science Centre was awarded. In the ‘Team’ category, the winner was the Lublin Science Festival. In the ‘Institution’ category, the WroSpace Association triumphed, and in the ‘Media’ category, Agnieszka Krzemińska of the Polityka weekly was awarded.
