Prof. Stanisław Czachorowski, ecologist, entomologist, an academic teacher from the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn received the Prof. Janina Wengris Award.  

The award is granted to people or organizations particularly distinguished in shaping ecological attitudes and serving the protection of the natural environment.

This is another award for the pro-ecological and educational activity of Prof. Stanisław Czachorowski. In August, at the final of the Olsztyn Green Festival, his popular science blog “Professor’s Chat” turned out to be the best pro-ecological initiative of the region in the competition “Climate of Warmia and Mazury”.

Prof. Czachorowski co-created the Olsztyn Days of Science and Art, and he is also the university coordinator of the “Night of Biologists”.
