Qualifying rounds for the twentieth Polish Championships in Mathematical and Logical Games at Wrocław University of Science and Technology have begun. The competition is divided into eight age categories and includes primary schools, secondary schools, students and mathematics professionals. Solutions to the competition tasks can be submitted until the end of January.
Those wishing to take part in the competition must solve the elimination tasks and send the results to the organisers via a special form. The number of tasks depends on the category in which they are competing, e.g. there are 18 for maths professionals, and five for pupils in the third grade of primary schools and below.
The best in their groups will then represent Poland at the International Logical and Mathematical Games Championships in Paris. Polish male and female competitors have been successfully competing in this unofficial mathematical world championships since 1992.
