The opening ceremony of the European Academic Games Łódź 2022 will be held on July 17 at the Atlas Arena in Łódź. For two weeks, over six thousand athletes will compete in 20 disciplines played in 15 venues.
The European University Games in Łódź will consist of badminton, futsal, 3 × 3 basketball, basketball, football, handball, beach handball, volleyball, beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis, water polo, swimming, climbing, chess, judo, karate, kickboxing, taekwondo and doubles table tennis.
The invited special guests at the opening ceremony will include: President of Poland Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki as well as the President of the City of Łódź, Rector of the Łódź University of Technology, President of Academic Sports Associations and President of the European University Sport Association.
The competition of students at the sports facilities in Łódź will last until July 31st.
