The Commission for the Evaluation of Science has announced a schedule for the evaluation of doctoral schools covering the fourth quarter of 2024. The call for candidates for evaluation experts is also being launched.

“Evaluation of the quality of education at doctoral schools is one of the elements designed to guarantee the high quality and efficiency of doctoral education at doctoral schools. It was announced along with the reform of the system of science and higher education in Poland and the introduction of a new system of doctoral education in doctoral schools”, reports the Ministry of Science.

At the end of the 2023/2024 academic year, the first five years will have passed since the then-created schools began educating doctoral students. This will allow the first evaluations to begin – subsequent evaluations should take place at least every six years.

At its March plenary meeting, the Committee for the Evaluation of Science passed a resolution on the schedule of evaluations of the quality of education for the fourth quarter of 2024. This includes the first 15 doctoral schools.
