Representatives of the University of Wrocław (UWr) held talks with professors from the American Southern Illinois University. The topic was the development of research and teaching cooperation based on a signed agreement. The cooperation was initiated two years ago thanks to the support of the Lower Silesian Marshal’s Office.

The consultations concerned the development of interdisciplinary research based on a project to create an international network of academic centres, the launch of teaching activities led by an international cadre of academics and aimed at promoting attitudes of student involvement in social activities – aid activities, intercultural dialogue, conflict resolution.

One of the projects already underway is the ‘Culture Week’ programme, co-organised by the Cassirer Centre and the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw, as part of which students of many universities and nationalities learn about, among other things, the history of American philosophy or African-American studies.
