From October, students of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology (WBiB) of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn will be able to take advantage of tutoring system. The first group of academic teachers from WBiB has obtained relevant certificates.

Tutoring as a supplement to mass education has been practiced in the world’s leading academic centers for many years. Now it is also appearing in Polish universities.

-We organized a tutoring course specifically for the needs of our academic teachers. The existing models of education do not allow to discover individual student interests. It is often only the supervisor of a diploma thesis, who reveals the potential of their graduate student. Introducing tutoring we will allow students to develop opportunities at the beginning of their studies – explains Dr Beata Dulisz, deputy dean for education at WBiB and training coordinator.
