By the decision of the Chapter of the Symbol 2020 program, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) was awarded the title of “Symbol of Modern Education 2020”.

“Symbol” is a nationwide media program in which companies, local governments, universities, institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, municipal companies and other major entities that function best in their industry and significantly contribute to the development of Poland are awarded, and their functioning becomes a model for imitation – a Symbol.

The program was created in 2011 and is run by the editors of “Monitor Biznesu” (an independent supplement to the daily “Rzeczpospolita”) and “Monitor Rynkowy” (an independent supplement to “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”).

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Warsaw University of Technology boasts a 100-year tradition of education, research and implementation of innovations in the economy. It is one of the largest faculties of the Warsaw University of Technology. It employs over 160 scientists and educators, and over three thousand students from Poland and around the world study within its premises.
