The Faculty of exact and technical sciences of the University of Silesia received the Symbol 2019 in the category of synergy of science and business. The award was granted in the promotional program of the “Market Monitor”, “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” and the “Business Monitor” distributed with “Rzeczpospolita”.

The Symbols are awarded to companies and institutions that are characterized by the highest quality of management and initiatives. The program strengthens the positive image of the awarded entities and gives the opportunity to establish new business contacts.

The jury appreciated the commitment of university scientists in implementing projects important not only for scientific knowledge, but also those undertaking important social issues and offering innovative solutions for the business sector. The university listens carefully to the needs of the region, serving knowledge, apparatus, information, library and housing resources, as well as its achievements and discoveries.
