The Center for Popularization of Science of the Silesian University of Technology celebrated its first year of activity. Researchers decided to celebrate the anniversary by popularizing science at the Gliwice shopping center. Among the attractions were m.in. 3D printing and laser engraving.

As part of the celebration, science popularizers realized a number of spectacular shows and presentations during which they explained the intricacies of science and technology in a simple and interesting way. The participants were able to fly on the drone simulator, print a birthday souvenir in 3D and also taste the molecular cuisine. There was also a birthday cake.

Visitors could learn about the “matrix of careers” – on-line tools for measuring and diagnosing soft and professional competences as well as drawing up competency and qualification balances necessary to determine the direction of professional development. At the stand of the Student Careers Office, the visitors could consult their CVs.
