The BA programme in English – Interdisciplinary studies: Control, Electronic and Information Engineering, implemented at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronic and Information Technology at the Silesian University of Technology, has received prestigious accreditation from the American organisation ABET – Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, reports the university.
ABET is an organisation that accredits higher education programmes in applied science, computer science, engineering and engineering technology. It is a non-profit organisation dedicated to assessing the quality of education through accreditation of curricula, which currently has 4564 programmes run by 895 institutions in 40 countries.
ABET’s accreditation confirms that standards are met, guaranteeing future employers that graduates entering apprenticeships are highly competent in the areas of innovation, implementing new technologies and identifying societal needs to improve safety and development.
