About 30,000 candidates applied at the University of Warsaw.

According to the Warsaw University, the most popular studies are Economy, Finance, Investment and Accounting, IT and Econometrics (2.9 thousand); Management (2.4 thousand); Finance, Accounting and Insurance (2.2 thousand); Psychology (2.1 thousand); English philology (2 thousand). The most candidates for one place choose oriental courses: Japanese studies (25 people per one place) and Korean studies (22). Also, inter-departmental specialization in Economics and Management were popular (22) as well as Journalism and media studies, Public Relations and media marketing (19) and Sinology (18).

16 candidates applied for one place at the new study of Medical Chemistry. This is an interdisciplinary engineering study covering knowledge in chemistry with selected issues in the medical, biological, pharmaceutical and related sciences. The course will be run in cooperation with the Warsaw Medical University.
