The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has announced the results of the START 2021 competition. 100 outstanding young scientists will receive prestigious scholarships.
The FNP START program is the oldest scholarship program in Poland for the best young scientists of all fields of science. It aims to support outstanding young scientists and encourage them to further scientific development. START program winners will receive an annual scholarship of PLN 28,000. PLN, which can be used for any purpose.
Within the START program, the Foundation also awards candidates whose research achievements have been assessed by the competition reviewers as outstanding. These scholarships will be increased to PLN 36,000. This year, the jury has awarded: Natalia Ochocka-Lewicka from the Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Warsaw, Dr Dawid Rogacz from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, Marcin Sroka from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Eng. Agnieszka Wołos from the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and Radoslaw Zajdel from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław.
