The Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) has selected the winners of the Polish Alexander von Humboldt Honorary Scientific Scholarship. It is awarded to scientifically active German scientists who want to come to Poland for a research stay of several months.
This year’s scholarships were awarded to:
Prof. Jürgen Kurths from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, who during his research stay at the Department of Dynamics of the Lodz University of Technology will implement the project “Undertaking chimera states in coupled mechanical oscillators” in cooperation with Prof. Tomasz Kapitaniak;
Prof. Gerd Meyer from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, who, as part of a scholarship at the Polish Center for Technology Development of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, will implement the project “Light converting layers” in cooperation with Prof. Alicja Bachmatiuk;
Dr Grzegorz Rossolinski-Liebe from the Free University of Berlin, who during his research stay at the Center for Research on the Extermination of Jews at the Institute of Philology and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences will implement the project “Polish City Mayors and the Administration of the General Government: Holocaust, Occupation, and Collaboration” in cooperation with Prof. Barbara Engelking.
