Leszek Kołakowski Honorary Scholarship in the amount of PLN 100,000 was awarded by the Foundation for Polish Science to Dr. Caterina Tarlazzi from the University of Geneva.

As the foundation informs, “the goal of the scholarship is to honor scholars who already at the beginning of their academic career can boast of outstanding achievements in the history of medieval and modern ideas and philosophies until 1939.”

Dr Caterina Tarlazzi specializes in the history of medieval philosophy, and her research focuses on the problem of universal values, with particular emphasis on the philosophy of Pierre Abelard. In her scientific research, she combines interests in logics and metaphysics with the search for sources in unpublished manuscripts and the criticism of texts.
