The finals of the University Rover Challenge (URC) will be held until June 4 in the desert of the US state of Utah. Final 36 winners from 10 countries include four teams from Poland, representing the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Kielce University of Technology, Wrocław University and Częstochowa University of Technology.

University Rover Challenge is the largest and most prestigious competition of Mars rovers developed by students. They take place in the Utah desert, near an analogue of the Martian base MDRS (Mars Desert Research Station).

One of the rovers was developed by young engineers from AGH. The Kalman rover will take part in four competitions, including servicing devices, searching for traces of life and autonomous driving.

All tasks were prepared by specialists working in the space sector. They will also judge the rovers taking part in the competition.
