Four young scientists of the University of Silesia have won the scholarships of the Minister of Education and Science for outstanding young scientists for significant achievements in scientific activity.
The scholarships were awarded to young scientists conducting innovative research of high quality and having impressive scientific achievements of high prestige and international meaning. Scholarships at the University of Silesia were awarded to Dr Dorota Gregorowicz from the Faculty of Humanities (History); Dr Yaroslav Grosu from the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences (Chemical sciences); Dr Maciej Kapkowski from the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences (Chemical Sciences) and Kasper Pfeifer, a doctoral student at the faculty of Humanities (Literary studies).
The winners of the competition will receive scholarships in the amount of PLN 5,390 per month for up to 3 years. The Minister of Education and Science will allocate nearly PLN 42 million to finance all the awarded scholarships.
