Four students of Silesian University of Technology win Diamond Grants

Four students and graduates of the Silesian University of Technology are among the winners of the 9th national Diamond Grant program of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

The winners of the competition include students of the Silesian University of Technology: Marta Zaborowska from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for her project: “Hybrid one-dimensional X (X = ZnO and / or TiO2) -Yb3 + / Eu3 + nanostructures obtained by hybrid methods, with increased photocatalytic activity”; Agata Raczyńska from the Faculty of Automation, Electronics and Computer Science for her project “Modifications of the surface of hydrolases degrading synthetic polymers aimed at extending the spectrum of decomposed plastics – theoretical and experimental research”; Szymon Gogoc from the Chemical Department for “Organic Peltier cells based on conductive polymers” and Jakub Smoleń from the Material Engineering Department for “Polyepoxide composites reinforced with carbon components, designed for tribological applications”.
