The Freedom and Democracy Foundation has launched a competition for the Leon Wasilewski Award for publications on Polish-Ukrainian relations. The prizes will be awarded in categories of history, humanities and social sciences, for books published in Poland or Ukraine, both in Polish and Ukrainian languages. Works can be submitted until August 31, 2021.
In this way, the Freedom and Democracy Foundation wants to inspire research on the past and presence of relations between Poles and Ukrainians, as well as promote the works of those scientists from Poland and Ukraine who take up less researched topics and serve to raise awareness of the common historical fate of both nations.
The Leon Wasilewski Award of the Freedom and Democracy Foundation is carried out as part of the project “Meetings of the Galician Club. Jaremcza 2021” supported by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister as part of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad 2021 competition.
