On 5 March 2024, the Adam Mickiewicz Auditorium in the Auditorium Maximum at the University of Warsaw (UW) campus on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street will host a concert referring to the works of Fryderyk Chopin. In this way, the Warsaw University is celebrating the name day of Fryderyk Chopin, one of its most famous graduates.

In addition to Chopin’s works, you will also be able to hear works by Franz Schubert, Juliusz Zarębski and Roman Maciejewski.

The brilliant composer lived inside the UW for a decade, from 1817 to 1827. Here he grew up and developed his musical talent. In 1829, he graduated from the Main School, which was part of the University. His teacher at the time was the rector, the composer Józef Elsner.
