The Council of the National Science Center nominated Prof. Ewa Łojkowska, intercollegiate faculty of biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk, and Prof. Barbara Lipińska, Faculty of Biology of the University of Gdańsk to AcademiaNet – European Database of Outstanding Women Academic.
The goal of AcademiaNet is to create a database containing profiles of female scientists from all scientific disciplines. All decisionmakers can use this platform to find the best representatives of each scientific discipline. The AcademiaNet platform should facilitate the selection of female experts to scientific committees and inviting them as lecturers and speakers to scientific conferences.
Outstanding researchers are nominated to AcademiaNet by 43 research partner organizations according to stringent selection criteria. The selection criteria include significant scientific qualifications and outstanding scientific and organizational achievements.
