Prof. Miłosz Jaguszewski, scientist of the Department and Clinic of Cardiology of the Medical University of Gdańsk is the co-author of the device isolating a patient suspected of having an infectious disease.

The device is used to improve the safety of patients and medical personnel, thanks to a special air filtration system, as well as sealed inspection valves enabling medical procedures to be performed. Its main advantage is the reduction of the risk of contamination of the patient’s environment during various types of medical procedures, including securing the respiratory tract, while ensuring the possibility of both passive and active oxygen therapy.

The device also enables safe transport of the patient by ambulance reducing the risk of contamination of the ambulance. The invention of scientists from Poland and the USA has already been already patented.
